The site is produced by OANDA which is the Internet arm of Olsen & Associates, a company that produces advanced forecasting technology for the financial markets with operations in Zurich and Frankfurt.

This site is a purchasing directory for library and information professionals. There are 1000+ product listings with links and e-mail connections to vendors. The listings can be searched by keyword or you can browse the six sections: A/V producers, Automation, Electronic Publishing & The Internet, Equipment, Furnishings & Supplies, Print Publishing, and Sources and Services. There is also a subject index an a company index. I found only two listings for legal print publishers.

NewsTrawler bills itself as a “Parallel Search Engine for news archives.” Journals, newspapers, magazines and websites are searched. Not all titles are in English. The searcher can use an alphabetical list to browse all the listings, search by country or across countries, and search by category or across categories. NewsTrawler is free, but some search results may come from a commercial source that requires payment to view the full text of an article.
